Win the Game of "What If"

One of my favorite games is the “What If” game. It’s very easy to play. Just ask yourself questions that suggest circumstances that differ from reality. If you could choose to live someone else’s life…what life would you choose? If you had your own life to live over, what would be different? Questions like these can help you discover or rediscover your true calling in life.

However, winning the “What If” game doesn’t depend on becoming someone else, achieving what others have done, or living in the past. You win when you tap into the untapped reservoir within yourself and become who you truly are.One of the best strategies for winning the "What If" game is to take an honest assessment of the unthinkable:

If your life had just ended:
· What are some of the things you wish you had taken time for just one last time?
· What golden moments or accomplishments in your personal or working life make you smile in reflection?

Completing this powerful exercise gives you the answers and energy to change your life before it's too late by becoming focused on why you are here or your purpose for living. You are one of a kind and when you leave this world, you won't have any other opportunities to make an impact. When you began to view yourself as an endangered species with only a limited number of hours and resources at your disposal, the most important question becomes “What if I begin to focus on my purpose right now and see how much I can accomplish?”

Hi! Joel blogs from the heart. I can think of so many questions that I'd like to ask him. Everything about his site and blog is so inspiring. Sometime the outcome of the work I do is so disappointing that this place seems like just what the doctor ordered. I do not have enough talent with words to tell him all that I feel.. all the very best Joel.

I do not have much education but starting reading inspirational books when I was 14. I'm 49 now. I quit a great work at home job to care for my son who ended up dying 8 years ago. I couldn't move & was diagnosed with diabetes. My husband lost his job so we ended up w/no health ins. I really want ot work at home again. My dream job is where I can call people & talk them using my gifts & talents. I want to work at home & have health benefits. I have to make atleast $20 an hour. I had alot of hospital bills that I paid off & now owe on a equity loan a large amount. I have tried everything do you have any suggestions. Thank you.
